Business owners in the Ryedale area are invited to attend a seminar entitled Recession-Busting Ideas For Your Business, which will take place at the next meeting of the Ryedale Business Network at the Worsley Arms Hotel in Hovingham on14th January from 6.30 until 8.30 pm.

Three Network members who are specialists in their fields will be giving presentations full of information to help small businesses through difficult financial times. Nick Teasdale from tKnowIT will be giving advice on reducing costs and improving productivity through better use of technology; Kevin Chilton of Chilton Safety Solutions will be helping people to identify their training and development needs; and Darrell Hooper from Business Link will inform members about the many training and workshop events Business Link will be offering during 2009. There will also be opportunities for attendees to network informally and make new business contacts.

Kevin Chilton, who is also the Network’s secretary, says “When times are hard it’s more vital than ever to be proactive and keep a positive attitude. As well as offering members information and advice, the Ryedale Business Network also provides a supportive atmosphere where local business people can meet others in similar situations and possibly benefit from their experiences. Annual membership of the Ryedale Business Network costs £50, which includes attendance at up to six events plus twelve months’ web advertising.

Prospective new members may attend their first session at a cost of £10 per person. Members and non-members, bring a friend and they pay only £5 to attend their first meeting.
